It is my pleasure to introduce myself to you. My name is Mike Leylant, born in 1960 in southern Germany, living in Holland since 1982 and for many years I am in love with plants and flowers.
I probably got 'infected' by my grandmother, who took me into nature, when I was a little child and she tried to pass all her knowledge over to me. She succeeded in that, -  and the eagerness to learn is still part of my nature.

My own garden, which I 'possess' since 1987 and which is sized about ca. 2500 square meters, is designed as a romantic garden in cottage-style with lots of organic forms in it. It changes constantly and will probably never be 'finished'. But just those changes in design and filling in are gripping me enormously and are a pleasant challenge. I see and feel the garden 'grow' through the efforts of my hands,- it becomes more mature over the years. Nowadays I am always looking for  special variaties of known and less known plants and I am experimenting with hardiness, optimal location and multi-plication of all sorts of plants.

The experience I gathered through the years is shared with others since many years. I give 'to-the-point-advise' and since a few years I deliver mature garden-design for private people. On this site you can look at lots of photographs in different categories. Especially the 'photo-of-the-week'-page will be updated quite often, but all the other (photo-)pages will be updated frequently, too.
All photos are made by two kinds of digital camera. An 'Olympus C2500L, 2,5 megapixels' and a 'Nikon 5400, 5,1 megapixels'. The photos on this site are resized copies of the originals with resolutions of 1712x1365 or 2592x1944 pixels. You can download the copies by rightclick, but the printquality will be very poor, because 500x400 pixels are just not enough for a good print.

The originals (either in tiff- or jpg-format) will give a perfect print, even up to A3-pageformat.
If you like, you can order one or more of the originals. Just write down the name of the photo(-s) you like (the name is shown at mouse-over) and send your order by email. I am working on an ordering-form for your convenience and it will be online soon.
Delivering of the photo(s) happens via email (max. of 5 per order, due to mailboxspace) or via CD-rom (unlimited number of photos then). For prices and conditions, - just mail to me...
